Our Story
Julie McAlpine’s journey to creating Defence Mortgage Solutions began with her firsthand experience in the military community. As a veteran and military spouse, Julie witnessed the challenges and financial risks that defence members face due to frequent relocations and the limitations of their relocation benefits. Many were placed into mortgages that did not adequately mitigate these risks, leading to unnecessary financial strain.
Driven by a desire to address these issues, Julie leveraged her extensive experience as a BMO Mortgage Specialist and partnered with Dominion Lending Centres (DLC), the largest brokerage in Canada. This collaboration allows us to raise awareness among lenders about the importance of properly supporting defence members and their families.
